The swimming and diving team began their season at the Tomball Fall Kick-Off Invitational at Tomball Memorial High School on Sept. 29.
The girls team placed 5th overall and was led by Junior K’Lee Rudd. Rudd won the 100 backstroke and placed 5th in 1 meter diving. Elizabeth Tag placed 3rd in the 100 Breastroke and 5th in the 200 Individual Medley. Cayla Jimenez placed 4th and Paiten Evans 7th in 1 meter diving. Selah Pilkington placed 5th in the 100 breaststroke. The girls 200 Free Relay of Pilkington, Evans, Rudd and Abby Martin, and the 400 Free Relay of Pilkington, Tag, Rebecca Hutchinson and Rachel Hutchinson both came in 3rd place.
The Boys team placed 6th overall. Weston Gary placed 3rd in the 50 freestyle and 4th in the 100 backstroke. James Coppernoll placed 5th in the 100 breaststroke and 8th in the 100 butterfly, Ayden Ayers placed 5th in 1 meter diving. The boys 400 Free Relay team of Gary, Ayers, Coppernoll and Hayden Moreno placed 3rd.
