The Orchestra/Mariachi students participated in UIL Solo/Ensemble contest. The following students qualified for state:
- Harmony Smith, Violin solo received Division One and qualified for State.
- Audrey Vestal, Violin solo received Division One and qualified for State.
- Viking String Quartet-Harmony Smith, Audrey Vestal,Evelyn Mayo,Brandon Acevedo received a Division One and qualified for State
- Mariachi Los Vikingos received a Division One and qualified for State which is held at UTRGV on Feb 21st. This is the 4th year in a row that the Vikingos qualified for State.
These Orchestra students also performed well at contest:
- Alex Vasilakis, Violin Solo played a Grade 1 solo and received a Division One
- Hannah Wade, Viola Solo played a Grade 2 solo and received a Division One
- Nico Bradley, Violin Solo played a Grade 1 solo and received a Division Two
