The varsity color guard competed at the Winter Guard International Houston Regional at Dekaney HS last weekend, and came in 1st place for the preliminary round of competition which automatically advanced them into the finals competition that evening. They ended up 7th overall in finals.
Currently, the color guard team is ranked 31st out of over 250 teams that have competed within the international circuit of competition. Their next competition is in Dallas for the WGI Southwestern Championships on March 15-17 to be held at UNT.
This year, the local circuit, Texas Color Guard Circuit, is hosting their Championship event at Reed Arena on April 6-7. Schedules will be available at the end of the month.
