The tennis team qualified for the Area round of the Team playoffs by virtue of a win over the Rudder Rangers. This is the Vikings first trip to the playoffs since 2007.
The area round of matches will be played in BCS the weekend of October 24-25 at schools in the BCS area.
Bryan will be playing Pflugerville Connally in the first round. Winners of both round to be played on Friday will advance to the regional tournament to be held the next weekend in Katy.
The Vikings ended the district season with a 4-3 record and are 6-5 overall for the fall season.
The Vikings are led by freshman Jacy Smith who is undefeated in singles for the season as of October 7. Jacy also plays Mixed doubles with Tanner Toomer and they have compiled a 7-2 record for the fall.
The match against Pflugerville will be on the Viking home courts on Friday October 24 at 9:00.
