The academic UIL team competed in the district tournament held at Huntsville High School on Sat. April 11. The following students took home awards:
Douglas Edge – Current Issues: 5th
Andy Ramirez – Editorial Writing: 1st*, Feature Writing: 2nd
Jesse Baxter – Feature Writing: 4th, News Writing: 3rd*
Robert Morgan – Feature Writing: 6th, News Writing: 5th
Ben Gerzik – Literary Criticism: 1st*
*will advance to the region event at Magnolia High School on Sat. April 25
