Sophomore Julia Cook earned two gold medals at the state swim meet in Austin this weekend where she also set two new state records.
In the 100-yard freestyle event she recorded a time of 49.27, crushing the old record of 49.63
During the finals for the 50-yard freestyle event Cook just missed her day-old record she set in the prelims of 22.86 with a 22.96 to earn a gold medal and defend her title from last year.
