Indoor Percussion group places third at competition

Viking Indoor Percussion (VIP) completed its season by placing third in Scholastic AA Class as part of Texas Color Guard Circuit Indoor Drum Line competition.

This is the first year for this competing unit. It is comprised of both percussion and non-percussion students and even includes four 8th grade students from both Jane Long and SFA middle schools. The group began rehearsals in December and has worked diligently, 5-hours a week, to prepare for its two competitions.

Originally intended to introduce Bryan HS students to the activity and develop skills, VIP quickly evolved into a strong, dedicated competitive ensemble. Although not their original intent, the group’s hard work was validated with their strong placement at Friday’s competition.

Please congratulate these members of Viking Indoor Percussion if you have the opportunity. The have put TBHS on the map in a very positive way!
