The softball team defeated North Mesquite in two games to win the Bi-District Championship.
On Friday the Lady Vikings defeated the Stallions 2-0 when senior Hannah Parker picked up her 14th win of the season by throwing a four hit shut out.
On Saturday the Lady Vikings broke open a 0-0 game with 6 runs in the bottom of 6th. Sophomore Rebecca Peirce picked up her first career playoff win with a four hit shut out, striking out 9.
The Lady Vikes will now face the District 9-5A champion Richardson Lake Highlands in a three game series in the Area Round of the playoffs. Game 1 will be played on Thursday at Lorena High School at 7:30pm. The series will move to Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton on Friday with Game 2 at 6:30pm and Game 3 to follow if needed. The Lady Vikings are 27-5 on the season.
