Color guard earns recognition as finalist at World Championships

For the second time, the Color Guard earned recognition as a World Championships finalist (previously in 2012).

The team competed at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio at the preliminary round of competition with 122 teams from around the world. They won their preliminary round and placed 9th overall in the preliminaries.

The top 64 scoring groups moved on to the semi-final round of competition on Friday at Wright State University in Dayton, where our group won their round again, and ended up 10th overall.

On Friday evening the top 15 teams advanced on to the final round of competition, held at the University of Dayton Arena where our team placed 11th of the top 15.

There are about 20-25 Texas High School teams who have advanced to the finals, and Bryan High has done so twice.
