Journalism students competed in the MRC invitational UIL meet against 31 other teams.

The following students won awards:
Shannon Keyser – 2nd Place, Feature Writing and 5th Place, News Writing
Abby Mendez – 2nd Place, Headline Writing
Lucy Raleigh – 5th Place, Feature Writing
Gail Finch – 5th Place, Editorial Writing
