Vikes improve to 2-0 in district

Bryan defeated Killeen Shoemaker in a nail-biter with a score of 21-19.

In the first quarter, Chris Johnson threw to Kevin Jefferson for a 32 yard touchdown. Chris N. Johnson kicked the extra point.

In the second quarter, Kevin Jefferson ran the ball in for a 16 yard touchdown. Barry Densey forced a fumble and Chris Johnson found Kevin Jefferson again for a 15 yard touchdown pass. Chris N. Johnson converted both extra points.

In the fourth quarter, Vikings made a goal line stand to secure the win in the last few minutes of the game. Granger Dewitt was first to meet the Shoemaker quaterback, and was assisted by Alex Pappas and Shikelyn Phillips to end the game.

This improved the Viking record to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in district play.

The next game will be against A&M Consolidated at Kyle Field where one team will suffer their first district loss.
