The following students have earned a spot in one of the TMEA Region 8 Bands. They will perform with their respective ensembles on January 20 at Copperas Cove High School.
Luke Hubacek, Alto Sax – 3rd Chair Symphonic Band
Malcolm Moore, Tenor Sax – 1st Chair Concert Band
Mason Cantrell, Trumpet – 2nd Chair Wind Symphony
Alexander Gonzalez, Trumpet – 5th Chair Wind Symphony
Micah Lang, Trombone – 3rd Chair Concert Band
Jonathan Konderla, Tuba – 3rd Chair Wind Symphony
Isaiah Gilbert, Percussion – 3rd Chair Concert Band
Mason Cantrell placed high enough to make the region orchestra and will perform with that group Saturday, December 9 at Baylor University.
Luke Hubacek, Mason Cantrell, Alexander Gonzalez, and Jonathan Konderla placed high enough that they are all certified for Area. They will audition for an opportunity to make the all-state band on January 13 at Duncanville High School.
