While some schools may only offer band and choir for the musically inclined, Bryan High also has the option of orchestra. This year, orchestra is twenty-eight members strong and takes care of the students’ fine arts credit.
Although orchestra teacher John Lemons has been with BISD for five years, this is his first year with high school students.

Academic Decathlon (AcaDec) is a yearly competition that tests students’ knowledge in multiple categories including art, mathematics and science to name a few. Students compete individually and as a team to advance through the competition.

It’s obvious that the world of animation is getting bigger, as almost everything that is seen on television, in movies and in games was edited or made digitally in some way. For students looking to break into this industry, the animation graphics class is a way to get started.

What many students don’t know is, while they get to smell these mouth-watering, edible treats, Brenda Guzman’s catering class is battling against time to prepare food for various customers across the community.

Ready Set Teach is a program that allows students with a goal of one day becoming a teacher to jump start that dream and help it become a reality. Members of Ready Set Teach go on field trips to schools around the district to get a general overview of the teaching career.
“Ready Set Teach is a capstone course, meaning that it’s at the end of the education and training pathway,” teacher Nina Wright said.
