Vikings forge hammer, create symbol of pride

Thor’s hammer is a mythological weapon, said to have been wielded by the Norse god of thunder, allowing him the ability to fly and summon lightning against his foes. Thor was seen as a protector of humanity, fighting for what was just and right against formidable enemies; however, only those who were “worthy” could lift the hammer, thus gaining the power of Thor himself. Bryan High students have proved themselves worthy, lifting high their very own Thor’s hammer.

Students should stick to spirit

Have you ever noticed how many stickers or posters are on Silver Campus? There are other ways, the school could be spending money, like giving it to academics departments instead of cutting their budgets.

Homecoming festivities a week-long celebration

Today kicks off the homecoming festivities; a week full of crazy style, Viking spirit and, of course, dressing to impress for the long awaited homecoming dance. Students spend the week looking forward to the pep-rally and football game on Friday, where students and alumni come to support and watch the Vikings win, and the dance on Saturday night, but there are many activities throughout the week that build up to Friday and Saturday’s main festivities.
